Trailblazer: Amia A.

My name is Amia. I live near Chicago, Illinois, with my parents and my two younger twin brothers, and my bunny, Rose. I love to draw—I’ve been doing it since I was two or three. I also make short stories in notebooks. About 99% of them are about animals or magical creatures.

I went to see a dance performance by Kevin Locke during the bicentenary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh in 2017. I’m at the theatre where he performed.

I love reading—it’s like watching a movie because you’re picturing all the scenes and characters in your head. My favorite books are the Warrior Cats and Fablehaven series, and also Smile.

I always draw either wolves or cats, but I can never decide what is my favorite animal! I love wolves, cats, bats, deer, bunnies, and more. I guess I have a few favorites, but the list can go on.

I also LOVE swimming! I love it more than ice cream! I always go to the beach in the summer during the weekends with my family and my cousin who lives close by. I swim the whole time there, but when I’m done, I can look for rocks in the sand. There are surprisingly a lot of shiny and crystally rocks in the sand.
