Trailblazer: Kian B.

When I am older, I want to be an astronomer or musician.
My name is Kian. I live in Arizona with my sister and parents. I am 18 years old, and my hobbies are music, astronomy, and photography. I also love creating and designing things, especially mechanical things. I like swimming, tennis, soccer, and other sports.
When I am older, I want to be an astronomer or musician. These would be interesting jobs to me because I like both things and would enjoy them as a job. I love Bahá’í songs, ragtime music, and classical, and I enjoy playing cello in a string orchestra. I also enjoy playing piano, guitar, and flute.
When my family goes to my grandma, aunt, and uncle’s house, I sometimes help make food, and they teach me cooking tips, which I enjoy. My favorite food is Persian food, such as ghormeh sabzi and khoresht-e-bademjan, which is what we sometimes have at their house.

I enjoy swimming, and I’m on a swim team.
Horses and dogs are some of my favorite animals. My family has a dog named Hope. She is a mix of several breeds. I like horses because they are calming and fun to be around. There is a ranch that we volunteer at that has all sorts of animals, including horses.
I enjoy spending time with my family. Two role models are my parents.
Some of my favorite Bahá’í activities are Feast, animating a junior youth group, and Bahá’í holy days. I love helping people by being kind and just. I love it when people show kindness, generosity, and justice.
